An individual army first aid kit (APPI) has been accepted for supply in the Russian Army. 
The set of medical supplies is packed in a sturdy pouch with a Molle system attachment for easy transportation.
The contents military first aid kit:
- Hemostatic tourniquet. It is used to stop excessive external bleeding. It is fixed in the area above the bleeding wound, as close to it as possible, for 1 hour in the cold season or for 1.5 hours in the warm season.
- Individual dressing package (PPI). It is used for dressing wounds. This is a wide and long bandage with two cotton-gauze pads, one of which is stationary, and the other can be moved along the length of the bandage for the desired fixation. The PPIs is packed in two shells: the inner one is paper, the outer one is made of rubberized fabric, which reliably protect it from germs.
- Disinfection agent (individual tablet, 10 tablets per pack). It is used for individual disinfection of water.
